New Home for Whiskey Bar

According to New York magazine, former Ian Schrager protege Rande Gerber will shut down his Whiskey Bar at the Paramount Hotel and move it to the new W New York - Times Square in December. When Gerber and Schrager recently parted ways, the Gerber bars in the Morgans and Mondrian hotels were bought out by Schrager for $1 million. As for the soon-to-be-vacant Paramount, Schrager is planning to “connect the watering hole to the Philippe Starck-designed supper club...in the same space that once housed the Diamond Horseshoe, the legendary forties nightspot owned by showman Billy Rose,” according to the mag.
