NEW YORK A gaggle of female magazine editors made the trek from New York to New Jersey on Sunday to—among other enticements—meet and interview Cyndi Lauper before taking in her 8 p.m. concert that evening. A veritable girl's day out, the event was hosted by Nancy Sheffer, director of development at the Englewood, New Jersey-based Bergen Performing Arts Center (also known as “BergenPAC") and coordinated by MWW Group.
Shuttled from the city via NYC Green Cars, six editors from magazines including OK!, In Touch, Family Circle, and Cookie, brought along guests to the day's first pit stop: reflexolgy foot treatments at Sole Revival in River Edge, New Jersey. Next up was a 30-minute interview with Lauper in her dressing room, where the editors asked questions and learned more about the canned food drive initiative that accompanied the singer's tour.
Following a dinner at Greek restaurant Nisi in Englewood, the group headed to BergenPAC, where they took in Lauper's two-plus-hour performance. The day marked the first time BergenPAC has hosted an editor event.
