It's barely been a year since Michelin-starred chef Gray Kunz opened his second restaurant, Grayz, and today The New York Times breaks the news that his first, Cafe Gray in the Time Warner Center, will close on June 28. Apparently, neither the chef nor the developer of the Columbus Circle shopping center will fully disclose the reason for the closure, but The Times suggests that the popular eatery just wasn’t bringing in enough revenue.

Further downtown, Marc Meyer and Vicki Freeman have announced that they will close their French joint Provence on Sunday. The two, also owners of Cookshop, plan to reopen the space in May as Hundred Acres.
