Metropolitan Pavilion Offers Carbon Offsets for Events
Following a recent vendor showcase, the Metropolitan Pavilion announced today that it has partnered with the Carbonfund.org Foundation to provide carbon offsets for any event booked at the Chelsea venue. The new program will be handled through the nonprofit organization, which calculates carbon dioxide emissions based on factors such as the length of an event, the number of guests, and transportation to and from the event. This new program adds to the venue's other green initiative, in which all glass, plastic, paper, and cardboard from events is recycled by in-house staff.
