| MTV's VMA Weekend: Who's Going Where |

FROM LOS ANGELES Of course, MTV has a packed lineup of official events related to its Video Music Awards in town this weekend, but unofficial events also abound. Here, some of the entries on the weekend calendar:
Blender will host an intimate group of about 150 for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on Saturday at Bardot in Hollywood in honor or nominee Katy Perry. Franki Chan will DJ.
Good Charlotte and the Veronicas will perform, and Samantha Ronson will DJ, at In Touch Weekly's "Icons & Idols" party on Sunday after the awards. The party—sponsored by Tigi Bed Head, Three Olives, and Burger King—will be held at the Chateau Marmont. Vox Entertainment will handle the sound, lighting, and staging for the concert.
On Sunday after the awards, the "Pepsi Blue Carpet Bash" (a program of after-parties following major events and awards shows in its second year) will take to the Avalon in Hollywood. Universal Records' Ryan Leslie and rapper Fabolous will perform live, as will Tyga, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, and De La Ghetto. Eric Cubeechee and E’s Clinton Sparks will DJ, and Latino 96.3's on-air personality Eddie One will host. In honor of the party, Pepsi will contribute $20,000 to the BMI Foundation Music Enrichment Fund.
Hype Marketing will bring its House of Hype hospitality suites to a private eight-acre Hollywood estate, not far from awards venue Paramount. The home features a grotto pool, a sand volleyball court, a nightclub, and sweeping city views. The event will run on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's daytime program features gifting and poolside barbecue, plus a Young Jeezy performance in the evening; Sunday's after-hours plans at the house, which include a Robin Thicke performance, run until 4 a.m. Monday.
Miami Marketing Group's Verizon Wireless Style Villa will occupy 10,000 square feet of rooftop poolside cabanas and event space at the Thompson hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday and Saturday, with perks from Samsung, Cape North vodka, Dermalogica, K-Swiss, the Antigua and Barbuda Department of Tourism, and others. Event Eleven will produce.
