Quintessentially Communications announced last week that it plans to open a New York outpost of London-based Quintessentially Events. The international luxury lifestyle group tapped Holly Lemkau Doran as the stateside managing director.

Doran started in the event industry a decade ago. She worked at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan before joining Vogue as the special events associate, where she helped plan the Costume Institute gala at the Met. Most recently, she put in time as a private event production consultant. In her new position, Doran will handle in-store events, holiday parties, and weddings, in addition to managing the company's existing roster of corporate and private accounts, which now includes clients like Gucci, YSL, Vogue, Dior, Jaguar, Escada, Sotheby’s Diamonds, and Unicef.
