3 Nightclubs With Detailed Decor
Budgets for events are getting tighter, so finding a venue with plenty of eye-catching decor is an easy way to cut back on additional expenses. Here’s a look at three new nightclubs with unique design elements.

1. Earlier this month, the city’s first green—as in certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design council—nightclub opened. Situated in SoHo, Greenhouse is a bilevel space built with recycled and recyclable materials. Don’t expect cardboard and hemp though, the 6,000-square-foot site is predominantly green in color and has leafy walls and ceilings, bamboo floors, and bars made from recycled clear glass. The focal point of the main floor is a mammoth chandelier made from 5,000 individually hung crystals.

2. Up in the Theater district is Aspen Social Club, the sister venue to the Flatiron's Aspen Restaurant and Lounge. This new outpost, which opened in October, is located inside Vikram Chatwal’s new Stay. Hotel. In the 3,000-square-foot, lobby-level eatery and lounge is a striking ceiling fixture from artist Jason Miller, aptly named “Antler Ceiling & Chandelier.” Aspen Social Club also has an illuminated tile wall and custom leather stools. The space holds 300 for receptions and there’s a 45-seat private room.

3. In late October, Jamie Mulholland and Jayma Cardoso remade their nightclub Cain as Cain Luxe. The interior of the West 27th Street space got a new look from designer Robert McKinley and is now a little less rustic and a little more cosmopolitan. South African touches still exist—faux elephant tusks adorn the pillars, and there's a zebra-print DJ booth in the rear—contrasting red walls, purple banquettes, and a sleek black and white ceiling. The 5,000-square-foot site is available daily for events until 11 p.m.
