| Edible Blue Boxes |
| 20th Century Fox brought Tiffany & Company on board to help host the premiere of Bride Wars at the jeweler's Fifth Avenue flagship. |
|
Bride Wars may be about two best friends competing to have their weddings at the Plaza Hotel on the same day, but for the film's premiere, stars Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway seemed content to share a party at Tiffany & Company's Fifth Avenue flagship. Following a screening at the AMC Lincoln Square, just over 200 guests were shuttled to the store for an intimate reception of shopping, cocktails, and a lot of blue.
Tiffany partnered with 20th Century Fox for the premiere, covering the entryway to the screening with a carpet in its famous hue. Notables Barbara Walters, Lisa Rinna, and a few of the ladies from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City all stopped for photos on the blue carpet. |

The store was open for business throughout the evening, so anyone moved by the romantic gestures in the film had the chance to purchase an engagement ring—or anything else on the main floor. Many guests tried on watches and necklaces, while others admired those in promotional displays featuring items from the movie. Most just enjoyed the complimentary meal at tables covered in Tiffany’s trademark blue.
That color, as it turns out, is also edible. Dessert, served on silver Tiffany platters, included piles of petits fours shaped like the jeweler's little blue boxes. Servers also traversed the isles carrying martini glasses filled with a blue beverage. What combination of spirits does it take to achieve the color? Tiffany isn't saying. The recipe for its signature cocktail is a well-guarded secret.
