Former Match Catering C.E.O. Joins Sonnier & Castle
Joan Steinberg, whose Match Catering closed at the end of 2008, has taken a job with New York catering and planning firm Sonnier & Castle.
“They have placed a lot of effort on catering cuisine of restaurant quality, and I hope to extend that to the corporate community that loves innovation and a twist on things,” Steinberg said earlier this week. “I’m really interested in finding marketing opportunities and helping the brand continue to roll out.” She’ll also be working with the company’s new town house venue and tasting room in Midtown West.
Joan’s no stranger to how the current economy is affecting vendors, but that’s not on her mind right now. “No one here is sitting around feeling beaten up by the current situation," she said. “They're feeling energized about the opportunities that are still out there.”
