A Gift-Worthy New York Photo Book
The new book New York: A Photographic Album, published by Universe, captures the city's grandeur, and its minutiae. Images include iconic landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Central Park, and Coney Island, as well as subway scenes, annual rituals such as the San Gennaro festival and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, newsstands, bodegas, shop windows, and views of everyday street life. Graphic designer Gabriella Kogan compiled the photos, which were taken by dozens of professional and amateur photographers and span decades. The hardcover book measures about five- by four-inches, small enough to fit inside a suitcase or gift bag. The book comes out March 31 and retails for $17.95; pre-ordering is available on Amazon.
