Crafts That Come to the Office

SpaceCraft is a new craft supply store and classroom in Williamsburg that hosts a regular schedule of public classes and can also conduct off-site activities (for adults or kids) or prepare special kits for events. For meetings, the shop's team can instruct attendees in quick projects like soap-making, origami, decorating T-shirts with stencils, and embellishing mugs, umbrellas, and ties. The Crafting Party to Go package is another option: SpaceCraft will put together a box of essential supplies and instructions that is sent to an office or event so groups can play without the need of a teacher. The company can also book authors of craft books as instructors for in-store or off-site gatherings.

Courses at the shop cover topics such as silk-screening, knitting, mosaics, batik printing, and leather and wood crafts; private group sessions may be arranged; The store holds 14 for classes, and another 14 in the backyard during the warmer months. Catering may also be arranged through the venue. Classes start at $35 per person, with instruction; necessary supplies are an additional expense.
