Hermes Decorates Central Park Ladies Lunch
A kiss on the cheek between friends is a carefully executed maneuver when you're wearing a big hat, which was the norm at the Frederick Law Olmsted awards, the annual luncheon hosted by the Central Park Conservancy's Women's Committee. Decked out in their finest springtime attire, a flock of 1,100 ladies—and a few men—arrived at the Central Park Conservatory Garden in droves to celebrate Central Park's 150th anniversary this year.

Planned by the Tia Chapman and Ashley Mills Bohnen of the Women's Committee, the luncheon featured decor designed by event sponsor Hermes. An elegant Hermes-branded carriage and horse decorated with orange roses was parked outside Vanderbilt Gate. And a special Hermes scarf commemorating Central Park's 150th anniversary covered the center of each table beneath the floral centerpieces by Andrew Pascoe Flowers. (Part of the proceeds from the sale of the scarf go to the conservancy.)

For dessert, Abigail Kirsch Culinary Productions created chocolate hat boxes filled with mini-tarts and truffles, and hat-shaped cookies on sticks were stuck inside chocolate hat sculptures.
