| Oprah Takes Feel-Good Event Tour |
|
Evidently Oprah Winfrey knows the power of events. She's hosting a nationwide feel-good-and-get-motivated tour sponsored by her magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine. New York event production company Toast is producing the "Live Your Best Life" tour, and Toast's Todd Cooper told us that the company created a 2,880-seat theater for convention centers in St. Louis, Seattle, Tampa and Philadelphia decorated with warm-colored fabrics, drapes and furniture for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. To draw attendees (at $185 each), the roster of events for the day-long affair includes an inspirational talk and Q&A session with Oprah, lunch, and exhibits (read: free samples) from the mag's advertisers like Dove and L'Oreal. The tour kicked-off in May and runs through June.
