This Week: Fashion and Football Frenzy
Tonight, the Council of Fashion Designers of America joins forces with Pantene to host the Icons in Black and White party at the Whitney Museum of American Art, while event photographer Patrick McMullan hosts a party for his new book, Kiss Kiss, sponsored by Maybelline, at the Four Seasons. The New York International Gift Fair starts to wind down on Wednesday, with the end of the exhibits at the Show Piers on the Hudson and Pier 94; the remainder of the show closes at the Javits Center on Thursday. The Museum of Television and Radio fetes NBC C.E.O. Bob Wright and Saturday Night Live at its gala at the Waldorf-Astoria Thursday. And to kick off Fashion Week, Miss Sixty presents its line with a show and party at Capitale. The 7th on Sixth tents in Bryant Park open for shows on Friday and continue until next Friday.

Saturday at the Waldorf, Alan Cumming hosts the Writers Guild of America's awards. Super Bowl XL comes to the Motor City, along with a slew of bashes held by the likes of ESPN the Magazine, Maxim, Sports Illustrated, and host television network ABC at venues around Detroit; the big game between Pittsburgh and Seattle takes over Ford Field Sunday.

Monday, the Sony Pictures remake of The Pink Panther premieres with a screening at the Ziegfeld Theatre and a party at Cipriani 42nd Street produced by Benarroch Productions. Also Monday, the Actors' Fund of America and New York Society of Association Executives hold the Parade of Stars at the Hilton New York. Tuesday NYSAE hosts its annual We Love New York Day expo and honors Donald Trump with Inspiration of Excellence award at the Hilton, and over at the Rainbow Room creative floral displays top tables for the New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Dinner.
