| Will the Hotel Chelsea Become the Chateau East? |

Page Six reports today that hotelier Andre Balazs is considering turning the Hotel Chelsea into an East Coast version of his famous Hollywood hotspot the Chateau Marmont. After all, the Sunset Boulevard hotel and bungalows and the West 23rd Street hotel and residence share similar histories of celebrity escapades and hard partying. Last week, the Chelsea's owners turned over management to BD Hotels NY LLC, which owns and operates boutique hotels such as the Chambers, Maritime, and Bowery hotels.
