Name Change for the Tobak Lawrence Company
The Tobak Lawrence Company, which regularly produces the Tony awards gala and Broadway opening-night parties, is now the Lawrence Company Events. Suzanne Tobak, one of the firm's founders, has left the event production firm to become director of advancement and special projects at the Actors Fund.

Michael P. Lawrence, who became a partner in the firm in 2005 when Tobak's former partner, Cathy Dantchik, retired, is carrying on the torch. The firm is now expanding beyond its core Broadway entertainment business into nonprofit gala consulting, and has added clients including the North Shore Animal League and the National Down Syndrome Society.

The Waterfront
