| Fashion Week Newbie Plays Up Renegade Style |

Unconventional and almost defiantly hip, the seemingly bare-bones production of Luis Cascante's first Fashion Week show played up a youthful, renegade style. Banding together with other labels—ThreeAsFour and United Bamboo—Cascante shared the venue rental costs and even the chairs and lighting for his debut at the Prince George Ballroom. Half warehouse party, half runway show, the intimate showcase in the ballroom's raw, adjoining gallery space was attended by only 100 guests and featured the psychedelic musical trio the Rainbowsssss, who huddled on the floor near the restrooms and played screechy, experimental sounds while the models walked the concrete hallway.
