| On the hunt for corporate holiday gifts? Whether you’re looking for the perfect little item for colleagues (or your own expanding gift list), the newly opened Blue Ribbon General Store in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, is bursting with clever treats. The colorful shop has a well-chosen selection of reasonably priced, playful items ranging from coffee-table books to desk accessories to bath and body products. The store’s overstuffed shelves also hold lots of gag gifts (whoopee cushions, fish-shaped staplers, “dynamite stick” pencils) perfect for silly office-party festivities. Owner Ann Lopatin, a former product developer for Coach, Ralph Lauren, and Talbots, will work with corporate clients to create a custom selection of work-appropriate yet fun items for gift baskets. Corporate orders of $250 or more get a 10 percent discount. |
