To launch its new packaging, Absolut threw a Studio 54-inspired party with a 10-foot-tall installation of mirrored vodka bottles as the centerpiece.

Last night, Absolut turned the Upper East Side's 583 Park Avenue into Studio 54. Sort of. The event for the social set, press, and celebrities launched Absolut Disco, the new mirror-covered bottle holder. To highlight this new product, the spirits company hired Extra! Extra! to design a disco-era environment and produce a look reminiscent of the famed nightclub.

The centerpiece of the evening was a 10-foot-tall bottle-shaped installation made from 500 Absolut Disco bottles, which essentially became the room's disco ball. Stylist Patricia Field added to the retro visuals by partnering with Absolut for the event, creating several vignettes of mannequins dressed in '70s-style, disco-inspired clothing.

New York is not the only stop for the oversized bottle installation—the piece will travel to Miami and Chicago for similar launch events later this month.
