OVERVIEW
The flagship sushi restaurant by Nobu Matsuhisa, Drew Nierporent, and Robert De Niro was designed by David Rockwell. With custom-designed chairs inspired by pearls and chopsticks, the entire dining room seats 140, and a 40-seat semiprivate room is in the rear. Next Door Nobu opened in 1998 and has a 70-seat dining space that holds 90 for receptions.
