OVERVIEW
Formerly the director of several art galleries, Karen Dalzell founded her design firm in the late 1990s. In 2002, the company expanded when she joined forces with painter-filmmaker Joshua Cicerone, who serves as creative director. The firm is inspired by the unconventional, often fusing a classic aesthetic with pop culture. Dalzell has managed all of the Tribeca Film Festival events since the festivals inception in 2002, and planned both the 2007 and 2008 FiFi awards. For the 2008 awards, Dalzell decorated the Armory with images of flowers, pipes, and cogs to create the atmosphere of a perfume factory.
