OVERVIEW
After working as a stockbroker in New Orleans and on Wall Street, DeJuan Stroud approached French floral designer Christian Tortu and studied flowers, color, and design in Paris before forming this event and floral design company with his wife, Debra, in 1996. Strouds style is marked by strong colors and simple concepts. In July, Stroud designed the premiere party for the film Mamma Mia! at the Central Park Boathouse. The V.I.P. room included pergolas hung with fuchsia bougainvillea and luminaries made of jars, as well as wooden farm tables decorated with arrangements of roses, herbs, and wildflowers.
