When he’s not making the rounds at Esca, Lupa, Otto, or his other New York ventures, chef Mario Batali can be found at Babbo. In operation since 1998, this 90-seat, split-level Greenwich Village venue (formerly the Coach House) received the James Beard Foundation’s Best New Restaurant award the year it opened. Wine director Luca Pasquinelli oversees the extensive wine list.
