Pumpkin carver Hugh McMahon has a talent for turning pumpkins and watermelons into elaborate works of art. He has done everything from devilish cats to portraits of Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barbara Walters and Alice Cooper and his pumpkins have appeared at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Although he specializes in celebrity portraiture and most of his work is done in pumpkins, McMahon has also carved watermelons into elaborate floral centerpieces. —AnnMarie Harris
