OVERVIEW
After working as a stockbroker in New Orleans and on Wall Street, DeJuan Stroud approached French floral designer Christian Tortu and studied flowers, color, and design in Paris before forming this event and floral design company with his wife, Debra, in 1996. Stroud’s style is marked by strong colors and simple concepts—he created monochromatic tabletop floral centerpieces for the American Red Cross of Greater New York’s centennial celebration ball and built a table, chandelier, and pavilion structure out of cardboard for the New York Horticultural Society’s benefit.
