1. MUST SEE: WEDDING CAKE DEPICTS COUPLE’S SEVERED HEADS: The bride admitted the wedding cake was nontraditional. But Natalie Sideserf, owner of Austin, Texas, bakery Sideserf Cake Studio, was proud of the horror-theme wedding cake served on a blood-spattered platter with the words “Til Death Do Us Part.” Huffington Post: “The result was a hyperrealistic cake depicting both of their heads, severed and bleeding on the floor. Their glazed-over, lifeless eyes stare both into the afterlife and at wedding attendees.” http://huff.to/17NfQ67

2. TAYLOR SWIFT SUPERGROUP HIGHLIGHTS CMA AWARDS: At last night's Country Music Association Awards, Taylor Swift was the center of attention as usual. Continuing the music-show trend of creating “supergroups” to perform, the awards brought together Swift as well as Vince Gill, Alison Krauss, Sam Bush, Edgar Meyer, and Eric Carken to sing her song “Red.” Watch at Entertainment Weekly: http://bit.ly/1cUI0fH

3. CASINO COMPANIES MAKE PLANS FOR NEW YORK: After voters this week approved a plan to build as many as seven casinos in New York, companies including Caesars are expressing interest in coming to the state. The New York Post: “The nation’s biggest casino operator recently expressed an interest to top state officials in building a Sullivan County casino. … Boyd Gaming, Empire City through its Concord Hotel project, Foxwoods, MGM, Mohegan Sun and Sands have also expressed interest in building a New York casino.” http://bit.ly/16HXCC9
