Condé Nast Portfolio,the much-ballyhooed new business magazine from the 4 Times Square publishinggiant, is positioning itself next to the country’s top dealmakers. According toCrain’s, the magazine announced May 14 that it willbe the exclusive media partner for the annual Foursquare conference inNovember. This is Portfolio’s firstbig outside partnership, and it would be hard-pressed to find one moreprestigious.
The conference, run by the private investment firmQuadrangle, is a two-day, invitation-only fest for kingpins in business,technology, media, and entertainment. Last year’s event drew the likes ofYouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, Sony chief Howard Stringer, Harvey Weinstein,and Jerry Seinfeld. As part of the agreement, the magazine will run selectededitorial content and exclusive video from the conference on its Web site,though exactly which parts remains TBD.
