BizBash Names Toronto’s Top 100 Annual Events
Bloor Street Entertains, L’Oréal Fashion Week, and the Toronto International Film Festival Among Chosen Events

Toronto, Ontario - February 17, 2009 - BizBash, the leading trade media publisher for the event planning industry, released its fourth annual list of “Toronto’s Top 100 Annual Events” today. Some of this year’s top spots went to the Canadian National Exhibition in the Trade Shows & Public Exhibition category, Bloor Street Entertains in the Benefit category, and the Toronto Wine and Cheese Show in the Food, Wine, & Hospitality category. The complete list is attached.

“From L’Oréal Fashion Week to the MuchMusic Video Awards and Wakestock, Toronto plays host to an array of events that create buzz, set trends, and attract crowds year after year.  Our annual list highlights the parties, trade shows, benefits, and parades that regularly light up Toronto, drawing media attention, tourism dollars, and the top players in their respective fields.  This year, newcomers to the list include the Boobyball, Fashion Takes Action, and the Drinks Show, while events like Massive Party and Operanation have climbed a few notches,” reads the introduction to the feature.

The BizBash editorial team ranked 100 events in 10 categories, identifying the most noteworthy and important events in nine industries, including fashion, media, advertising, benefits, and art.  These events are carefully vetted by BizBash editors and industry experts for relevance and importance, economic impact on the city, and innovative style.
