BiZBash Launches Weekly Events Calendar Newsletter Geared to Event Professionals

NEW YORK, March 19, 2001 - Idea Center (, the first comprehensive media outlet targeted exclusively to corporate event planning and business entertaining professionals, meeting planners and hospitality executives, announced today that it expanded its offerings with the launch of its second newsletter, the BiZBash Event Calendar (New York edition). The calendar will be issued every Monday and will serve the interests of event planners rather than event attendees.

"Our calendar listings will include links to venues and key event resources including PR firms, caterers, entertainment and speech writers among other available data," said David Adler, BiZBash's CEO and editorial director. "The great advantage of our New York Event Calendar is that corporate event professionals and non-professionals will be able to peak over the fence to see how others are creating events."

The BiZBash Event Style Alert premiered in September 2000 and has thousands of opt-in subscribers who are event, group travel, association, nonprofit, marketing, public relations, human resource and media professionals. The Idea Center Web site, which went live in February 2001, includes weekly event coverage with a focus on which vendors are involved with the events, a visual search for ideas tool, a bad idea file and more than 5,000 vendors listed in areas from event management and public relations to venues, dance floor painters and unofficial police escorts for hire.
