Los Angeles—May 25, 2010—BizBash, the trade magazine and Web site for the event planning industry, announced the finalists for the annual Los Angeles Event Style Awards, which will be presented during the BizBash Expo on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the L.A. Mart. Finalists were selected by a panel of event industry professionals. Awards will be presented in 18 categories, including Best Corporate Event Concept, Best Gift or Gift Bag, Best Invitation Design, Best Catering at an Event, Best New Venue, Best Video, and Best Fresh Idea.
The newly introduced online submission process resulted in 150 entries, breaking last year's record of 122 entries. From the entries, industry judges narrowed the field to 82 finalists.
"We are excited to present this year's awards on June 9. The entries this year were inspiring, and several categories were extremely close," said Chad Kaydo, editor in chief of BizBash. "I'd like to thank our judges for taking part in our new online judging process."
The award presentation is attended by top corporate event and meeting professionals, as well as marketers and vendors in the event industry, including caterers, audiovisual companies, lighting and sound companies, venue managers, and decor and design companies. All attendees and exhibitors at the BizBash Expo are invited to attend the Event Style Awards presentation at 5 p.m. on the main stage, in the California Room, 2nd Floor, at the L.A. Mart.
