Richard Aaron Named President of Idea Center
NEW YORK, July 11, 2000 - The Idea Center, the soon to be launched marketplace and showcase serving the premium events and business entertaining community, announced today that Richard Aaron, CMP, CSEP, has been named founding president. Aaron, who most recently was president of the meeting and events division of Mallory Factor Inc., has been active for 20 years in the event industry as a founder and board member of both the International Special Events Society and Meeting Planners International (MPI). As a speaker and lecturer, Aaron is affiliated with the hospitality and event programs at both New York University and George Washington University.

Founder and CEO David Adler said, ``We are thrilled to have Richard lead the BiZBash team. He is a true event industry pioneer and in his new post he will continue to blaze new trails as the digital age becomes a true reality. Building on Richard's expertise and that of our entire team, BiZBash intends to serve the event community with quality content in the nooks and crannies of local markets starting with New York City.''

``From an information and commerce point of view, it is clear that the event industry is underserved,'' said Aaron. ``In fact, this is an industry that needs to become a real community because most people work in a virtual vacuum. The BiZBash Idea Center will bring both traditional and non-traditional buyers and sellers together on a global basis using a local expertise approach. New York City alone is a $4 billion event market with more than 100,000 business events annually.''

Aaron is a well-known event industry visionary - having served for the last three years as founding chairman of the event industry SEARCH Foundation (Special Event Aid and Response for Care and Hope). In addition to his career in producing thousands of innovative corporate events at Mallory Factor, Aaron was the founding president of the International Special Events Society of New York, a member of the board of directors of MPI International and on the advisory boards of Special Events Magazine and George Washington University's event program. Currently he is an adjunct professor in event marketing at New York University's Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality. Aaron holds a masters of fine arts from Brandeis University.

About Idea Center
The Idea Center is being created to meet the information and commerce needs of the growing, underserved and competitive events marketplace. The site is being designed to be the first place to look when planning, brainstorming or visually conceptualizing an event. Print directory products, trade and award shows, television programs and sampling programs will complement the Web site. An extensive database of more than 250 categories will include everything from outsourced event planners, PR agencies, venues, caterers and florists to all the ``nooks and crannies'' sources that people need to make their events stand out.

From and editorial perspective, BiZBash will cover the special event and business entertaining community in the same way WWD covers the fashion industry. Editorial features will include extensive event coverage with a unique ``visual vendor finder,'' event reviews, personality profiles and gossip on an industry-by-industry basis in the special events and business entertaining field. On, planners, PR proffessionals, vendors, producers and other event specialists will finally be able to be in front of the camera. A closed user group will begin beta-testing in the fall.

On May 3, 2000 announced that it received $2.5 million of Series A financing. Milestone Venture Partners, an early stage B2B venture firm focusing on the New York metropolitan area, led the round along with prominent individual investors including William F. Reilly, former chairman and CEO of PRIMEDIA; Andrew Farkas, chairman and CEO of Insignia Financial Group; Matthew Bronfman; and Amy Churgin, publisher of Architectural Digest. Todd Pietri of Milestone Venture Partners will join the Board of Directors along with Reilly, Louis Perlman and Bronfman. additional senior management includes Founders David Adler and Jonathan Adler. David Adler, 46, who was the founder and president of Washington Dossier magazine, a glossy magazine that covered the entertaining, social and political world of the nation's capital, and the former corporate communications chief for PRIMEDIA and Macmillan Inc., will assume the role of CEO and editorial director. Jonathan Adler, 43, formerly chairman and CEO of The Adler Group, Inc., Apartment Shoppers Guides, New Homes Shoppers Guides and former publisher of Washington Dossier, will be chairman and COO of the Company.
