NEW YORK, August 9, 2000 - The BiZBash.com Idea Center, the soon to be launched marketplace and showcase serving the premium events and business entertaining community, announced today that Keith Fredericks has been named its founding Chief Technical Officer. Prior to joining BiZBash.com, Fredericks held the chief technical role at two New York Internet startups - CDKnet and Gotham Broadband.
``Keith is a new media veteran with more than 15 years planning, developing, designing and implementing computer applications and evaluating viability of programs. In his new post, he will help BiZBash create a robust online product that will enhance both the data and editorial that will be our cornerstone. We are thrilled to have Keith on the BiZBash team,'' said David Adler, CEO and founder.
``From a technology point of view, it is clear that the special events industry is underserved,'' said Fredericks. ``And, since the industry is in its technological infancy, we will really fill a need in bringing the digital age to the special events business.''
Fredericks has had career in user interface and graphics and visualization software development, in addition to network performance measurement and network testing. BiZBash.com is the third Internet start-up that he has had a hand in developing. Prior to joining CDKnet, he was with Cray Research where he initiated the Virtual Reality and Rendering and Animation projects which resulted in Cray Animation Theater, the rendering and animation product - one of the first applications released for the Cray T3D massively parallel computer system. Fredericks studied photographic science and engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, where his work into the sensitivity of nuclear track emulsions earned him a prestigious Central Intelligence Agency research grant.
