TV Guide, Sony, GQ and Reebok Take Home BiZBash Event Style Awards
Oprah Winfrey Event Designer Preston Bailey Inducted into
BiZBash Event Style Hall of Fame

New York, NY, March 9, 2004 – BiZBash, the authoritative source for the meeting and event industry in New York City, announced the winners for its third annual BiZBash Event Style Awards. Winning events included TV Guide’s Party on the Plane and Sony’s Grammy after-party. Winners recently accepted their awards at New York’s new Crobar nightclub.

BiZBash also inducted premier event designer Preston Bailey into the BiZBash Event Style Hall of Fame. Known for his striking floral designs and work with celebrity clientele such as Oprah Winfrey and Joan Rivers, Bailey has revolutionized the event design industry over the last 23 years.

In a reception attended by more than 650 event industry professionals, BiZBash presented awards in 10 categories, including Best Overall Catering, Best Fresh Idea and Best Gift Bag. The winners were chosen by a panel of judges which included the BiZBash editorial board and top event planners in New York.

“Events are more important than ever and our awards distinguish the best of the best. The winners represent the most creative work in our industry,” says Chad Kaydo, editor in chief of the BiZBash Event Style Reporter.

More than 75 companies submitted entries for the awards.
