Designed as an urban version of a country club, Long Island City’s CityView Racquet Club is a large sports facility and spa housed in 80,000 square feet of space atop the Swingline Stapler building. Interior elements in the venue, which officially opened last week, include such accents as a 30-foot-tall palm tree, a Brazilian mahogany staircase, and an Italian marble mosaic.

Among the site's amenities are seven enclosed tennis courts, which are available year-round. On the same floor are three squash courts (plus a hardball doubles court), a café with food and catering provided by Chef & Company, and a relaxation area with an outdoor deck available for event rental.

One floor up is the lounge and spa. Overlooking Manhattan, the lounge has a 40-foot-long bar, banquette seating, private tables surrounding a fireplace, and views into the squash courts. Also on this level is the White Tea Spa, which has four treatment rooms and offers a range of services from facials and massages to eyelash perms and waxing.

CityView offers corporate membership as well as space for private events.
