Opened in December 2009, Provocateur is a $4 million club from Michael Satsky and Brian Gefter situated in the spot that once housed the Garden of Ono. Encompassing 7,000 square feet at the foot of the Hotel Gansevoort, the venue was designed by Lionel Ohayon and ICrave and is comprised of two distinct spaces—Provocateur Café and Provocateur Nightclub. The 4,000-square-foot café section holds 300 people and the 3,000-square-foot nightclub area offers 17 banquettes and tables as well as an 80-person skybox.
