MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA The owners of Rock Hard Taco wanted to go big for its restaurant debut on Saturday in Boca Raton. To do so, TransMedia Group, along with the Mexican eatery's owners, brought in activities—including a 16-foot half-pipe from Goat Ramp—and music that showcased the restaurant's SoCal style and rock and roll vibe for the grand opening.

More than 500 people, including pro surfer Sunny Garcia and Supercross pro Matt Boni, attended the event. Skateboarding fans watched half-pipe skating competitions, listened to music from Bear In Mind, DJ Matt Spector, and Buzz 103.1, and ate 50-cent tacos while sampling DNA Energy Drinks. Skaters from all over South Florida entertained spectators throughout the day by performing flips and conducting warm-ups on mini ramps and the half-pipe. Cash prizes totaling $1,000 went to those who showed off the best moves on the ramp. Patrons also watched contestants battle it out in a bikini contest held beside the half-pipe competition.
