Set right on the Pacific Ocean, this 30-acre zoo is home to more than 500 animals. Private event areas include a hilltop setting, with ocean views and barbecue pits, which holds 2,500; the Cabrillo Lawn near the Cats of Africa exhibit, which holds 300; the Karisoke Outpost, modeled after Dian Fossey’s gorilla research program, holds 10 for seated events or 50 for receptions; and the deck overlooking the elephant habitat.
