Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building
The Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building will reopen in early 2016 as the newest event venue in the nation’s capital. This national historic landmark features four dramatic halls and a central rotunda, as well as an adjacent garden, for a variety of extraordinary events.
Host a seated dinner or standing reception in the dramatic setting of the best preserved example of 19th-century “exposition” or “World’s Fair” architecture in America.
Built in time to host the Presidential Inaugural Ball of 1881, this was the first building dedicated solely to the exhibit of Smithsonian collections.
