SPECIAL REPORT: Inside the MTV VMA After-Parties

MTV's Video Music Awards might be New York's equivalent of the Oscars: There are yards of red carpet, SUV-loads of celebrities, blocks of screaming fans and a who-knows-what-will-happen anticipation surrounding an event that is broadcast live to millions of viewers. The awards show took over Radio City Music Hall again this year, and then everyone headed out to after-parties thrown by the record labels, music mags and assorted celebrities. We, of course, checked them out, too, and here are our reports from all of the big bashes:
