EnRoute Names Nota Bene Canada's Best New Restaurant

FROM TORONTO The November issue of Air Canada's enRoute magazine has named Nota Bene the country's best new restaurant of 2008. "Chef David Lee and his business partners, Yannick Bigourdan and Franco Prevedello, have created a restaurant that is both democratic and elite," says food writer Chris Johns, who spent five weeks visiting three dozen restaurants in 12 cities across the country to come up with the list.

Other Toronto restaurants on the list include Harbord Room, which ranked third, and Lucien, which ranked seventh. The rest of the list includes Le Local (Montréal), Chef's Table (Calgary), Boneta (Vancouver), the Only on King (London, ON), Fraiche West (Vancouver), Liverpool House (Montréal), and Stage (Victoria).
