| Barbarella-Inspired Bar Opens in Silver Lake |
Named after the 1968 cult classic Barbarella, Barbarella Bar officially opened in Silver Lake yesterday. The new bar offers a large selection of artisanal beer (more than 24 global microbrews on tap from Germany, Canada, Belgium, and the U.S.), an extensive wine list, and a menu that features world cuisine focused on organic meat, fish, and vegetables—plus significant vegan and vegetarian options.
The 4,300-square-foot bar, restaurant, and lounge features a 60-foot hand-crafted wooden bar fronted by plush suede stools with seating for 45, as well as an intimate lounge with tufted silver leather couches near the entrance. |

Red leather banquets and mahogany tables look onto an expansive dance floor topped by a chandelier. For events, the venue has a high-tech Electro-Voice sound system. Though there are no private dining areas, V.I.P. and semiprivate areas can be arranged with bar management. Full buyouts are available.
