CHICAGO In daunting news for post-holiday dieters, a retail location of Sugar Bliss Cake Boutique opened in the Loop on Monday. Specializing in cupcakes topped with blossom-shaped bursts of frosting, the downtown bakery features a rotating array of 20 flavors, which include Texas red velvet and lemon drop.
For morning meetings, Sugar Bliss owner Teresa Ging (who we profiled here) offers special breakfast cupcakes in flavors such as vanilla-blueberry and cinnamon-apple. Ging can also customize treats with company logos or specific frosting colors.
The bakery will deliver to offices in the city and surrounding suburbs. Delivery charges start at $15, and the minumum order is 12 cupcakes or 24 mini-cupcakes.
