Target's Logo-Crazy Fashion Media Room

Target is hosting the media room at the 7th on Sixth shows in Bryant Park, and the hip retailer chose Avi Adler to create what might be the most memorable trade show press room this year. Adler is known more for incredibly unique, sometimes surreal decor for big-time events like the Robin Hood Foundation benefit and the CFDA awards party--not for working-stiff wingdings.

Adler's designs for the small room incorporates elements of Target's bull's-eye logo and the retailer's “Sign of the Times” advertising campaign. The lounge includes custom-printed bull's-eye wallpaper, a mobile that suspends the bull's-eye over the room, custom-designed red and white lounge ottomans and furniture made from welded steel and glossy red Plexiglas. (Plus phones, faxes and computers to help the more than 300 fashion journalists working there each day from around the world.)

The room is the latest of Target's numerous events and sponsorships meant to keep it hip among fashion and media folk (another recent one: the Target Townhouse product showcase).
