The Royal Conservatory's Telus Centre for Performance and Learning
Built in 1887 and expanded to include the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning in 2009, The Royal Conservatory has made its home on Bloor St. since 1962. The facility includes beautiful multipurpose theaters and event spaces, light-filled gallerias, and intimate rooms for private events. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer stunning views of downtown Toronto and Philosopher’s Walk, and the stylish interior details of the new facility are in perfect harmony with the renovated historic building.
Since Koerner Hall opened in 2009, the RCM has played host to more than 1,000 concerts and private events, featuring gala performances by Yo-Yo Ma, Meryl Streep, Idina Menzel, and Buffy Sainte Marie.
"The most beautiful venue in town." – Melissa Haggerty, Spectacular Spectacular; "A feast for the eyes and the ears." – Classical FM 96.3; “A distinctly different venue.” – The Globe and Mail
