The new downtown meeting and event space known as the Bay Salone, which may be booked through Vox Entertainment Inc., hosted its first event during L.A. Fashion Week. Designer Douglas Johnson is behind the look of the venue, which is actually a 16,000-square-foot network of spaces available for flexible arrangements.

Event capacity is 500 in part of the space, with room for an additional 500 in another; the square footage breaks down into two areas of 8,000 square feet each.

The Studio/Salone includes 30-foot ceilings with beams and skylights, a private backstage area, another space well suited to after-parties or seated dinners, and considerable blank wall space to use as a canvas for logos and branding, both inside and out. Furniture is available.

The space, which may be used for film and photo shoots as well as events, also has a 50-foot-swimming pool and a 50-foot curved white glass runway available.
