When San Francisco-based event designer Robert Fountain became frustrated with the limited colour choices of flame-retardant Velon for draping and tenting, he developed Velon Designs Inc., which prints a variety of stylish patterns on the inexpensive material. Biodegradable and recyclable, the product can be used for trade shows, tents, and even table covers and can be customized with unique designs or logos. The material runs from $1.25 to $1.67 per linear foot and is available through Regal Tent Productions.
