Patti LaBelle, Macy Gray Unveil Holiday Windows at Holt's
Holt Renfrew called on Patti LaBelle and Macy Gray to entertain guests at the unveiling of the holiday windows at the retailer’s flagship store Wednesday night. A crowd of onlookers filled Bloor Street—which was closed to traffic between Yonge and Bay streets—for the fourth annual event, hosted by Rosey Edeh and Roz Weston of Entertainment Tonight Canada. Prior to the unveiling, Gray and LaBelle performed on a stage set up in the middle of the street. The retailer also offered extended shopping until 9 p.m., with two per cent of sales being donated to the Children’s Wish Foundation.

According to the retailer, this year’s windows—inspired by the work of Marc Chagall, the photography of Tim Walker, and art nouveau—are “set in a dreamscape of holiday emotions.” The six windows are filled with angels, magical books, holiday bells, and an enchanted forest. "I really wanted to offer a message of hope this year, and hope comes from your dreams,” Holt Renfrew creative director John Gerhardt told The Toronto Star. He added that he’s already planning next year’s display.
