Toronto's expanding culinary scene can be hard to navigate, so Trina Hendry, former director of public relations at Metropolitan Hotels, started Chowbella. The new culinary concierge service matches corporate groups and individuals with food-focused experiences. Hendry can recommend a restaurant for a private dinner and arrange the reservations, organize a group wine-tasting tour or cooking class, plan an employee incentive trip, or consult with planners about venues and catering services. She also offers a service called the personal gourmet shopper, for which she stocks a pantry for an out-of-town guest or transferred employee. Corporate retreat bookings are available for groups of fewer than 100, and Hendry is soon planning to expand her partnerships with tours and retreat locations outside of Ontario.
