If your company is still going ahead with holiday festivities, time’s running out to make arrangements. With smaller gatherings or in-office celebrations in mind, here are some resources for a recession-proof—but fun—party.

1. If your company is still going ahead with holiday festivities, time’s running out to make arrangements. With smaller gatherings or in-office celebrations in mind, here are some resources for a recession-proof—but fun—party.

1. To warm everyone up, Big Poppa Barista caters espresso, apple cider, hot chocolate, and alcoholic coffee drinks. Prices start around $300 and include drinks, biodegradable cups, and a barista. Book by December 11 for a 10 percent discount.

2. Longo’s Kitchen Catering is offering a holiday celebration menu for $24.95 per person. The package includes two salads, two entrees (like honey glazed ham, roast beef, or vegetable lasagna), plus side dishes and dessert. There is a 10-person minimum for orders and delivery is available.

3. For holiday sweets, Flaky Tart offers Christmas cookie plates, figgy pudding, rum-soaked cakes, and 3 ½-foot-tall gingerbread men that can double as centerpieces. Delivery is available; the shop recommends placing orders as soon as possible.

4. Another sweets option: The Sweet Escape Patisserie has 8-inch egg nog and pumpkin cheesecakes for $18 and gingerbread and candy cane cupcakes for $1.25 each.
