Revlon Launch an Ethereal Affair
White carpeting, white couches, and clear ice sculptures contributed to an light, buoyant atmosphere for the promotion of the company's new makeup lines.
Predominately white decor, ethereal background music, and free massages helped turn C Lounge, a Liberty Entertainment Group property, into a stress-free environment for Revlon Canada's rollout of new makeup products under its Almay Skincare and Vital Radiance brand umbrellas. Lucy Frechette, PR associate of Revlon, said she wanted to create a setting with minimal distractions so the guests would focus on the products. "Our goal was to encourage interaction; that's why we had lots of merchandise on hand for people to touch and feel," she said.

C Lounge
Wednesday, 06.14.06, 6 PM to 9 PM

Catering: Liberty Grand Catering
Decor: Contemporary Furniture Rentals
Event Mgmt./PR: Yellow House Events
Ice: Iceculture
Massage Station: Massage on Wheels
Venue: C Lounge

Frechette worked with Yellow House Events' president Grail Noble to design the event, which featured white carpeting in the entrance, white couches from Contemporary Furniture Rentals, and white throws covering the venue furniture. Blue and lavender pillows strewn across the furniture provided colourful accents that matched the dominant shades of the packaging for the new products. Ice sculptures from Iceculture contributed to the sense of lightness and buoyancy; the sculptures encased product samples that appeared to be suspended in air. Other product displays flanked the Massage on Wheels massage station, while pink and white gift boxes containing product samples stacked in a pyramid shape next to the entrance. Blue and lavender ribbons adorned the boxes, which were given to departing guests.

Outdoors, more product samples floated lazily in the wading pool on green palm fronds from Greenery Patch. On the patio, towels bearing the Almay Skincare and Vital Radiance names adorned a row of chaise lounges adjacent to the private cabanas. Also on the patio, Espresso Uno served smoothies and lattes. Meanwhile, the catering department for Liberty Grand, another Liberty Entertainment venue, passed snacks such as lavender cupcakes and blue sorbet.
